The truffle pasta and wine under the grapevines made a lovely end to the day, and we even gathered fresh eggs for lunch along the way. Paolo was flexible about our schedule and quick to answer when we booked online. He explained so much about truffles, and his dogs helped us find plenty in just an hour. I don’t speak Italian, but Paolo communicated perfectly in English, so everything went smoothly. We also met some sweet donkeys and tasted fresh jujubes and berries. It was fun and rewarding, and seeing how close Paolo is with his dogs was really heartwarming. We’d love to come back.

Lunch was homemade pasta, prepared right in front of us and served with the truffles we’d just found. Earlier, we followed Paolo and his dogs on the hunt and learned a lot about truffles and how they live in balance with their surroundings. Each dog had its own funny, distinct personality too. Paolo and his aunt were so kind and welcoming. A memorable, educational day for my family.

The food was a real highlight, homemade, full of flavour, and served in just the right portions. The wine was great too. We spent one of our three nights truffle hunting with Paolo and the very cute Brigiola, then had fresh egg pasta with the truffles they’d dug up. We wished we’d booked a longer stay. It’s a quiet rural spot, with easy drives to Ascoli Piceno, San Benedetto, lovely little villages, and hiking areas. Paolo and his aunty were wonderful hosts. Un abbraccio! Hil&Will

We only did the tour and lunch, so I can’t say anything about the rooms. Paolo is a great host, and even after finding what must be countless truffles, he still gets excited each time as if it’s the first. The surroundings are lovely, and the drive to this beautiful Agriturismo already puts a smile on your face. It stays there.

We felt so welcome, and we’re already talking about coming back in the fall to hunt for white truffles. It was a lovely way to discover a part of the Marche we hadn’t seen before. Paolo greeted my family from the USA warmly and walked us through the day. The truffle dogs were adorable and friendly, and after about an hour of searching we’d dug up a basketful ourselves. On the way back to the cottages, we stopped at the chicken coop to collect eggs for tagliatelle. Lunch was fabulous, with fresh farm ingredients, delicious wine, and top-notch service. We watched the pasta being made and tried to pick up tips for making a similar meal ourselves. The view was spectacular, and Paolo was knowledgeable, warm, and inviting. We ended the day with his vino cotto, aged for 14 years.
