We went for Easter Monday and ended up with the least fortunate table, right beside where they prepare the testarli. I really hope that isn't a regular table and was only set up for the occasion.

I've been coming here for years. The food and drinks are excellent, and the prices are reasonable.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have their own character, like the rest of the property. With the breathtaking views and such warm, helpful hospitality, it felt like being at home. Thanks to the owners for looking after us. We'll be back soon.

The owners have celiac disease, so they offer a full range of gluten-free options, including their famous panigacci, which you really should try at dinner. The restaurant is delicious and has a big-family, at-home feel. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and breakfast is excellent. The hotel has beautiful views over the valley, the Apuan Alps, and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. The rooms could use some improvement, but have a lot of potential. Its location is convenient for visiting the Cinque Terre, La Spezia, or Forte dei Marmi. Portofino is also easy to reach from La Spezia train station. Best wishes to all the staff.
