The hosts are charming, and there’s a great choice of wines from the region. The setting out in the wilderness is fantastic.

We had our anniversary dinner that evening, and it was truly special. The chef had even made us a little cake. Mariateresa and all the owners were so kind and courteous. We arrived at 12:00 PM yesterday, with the air full of roses, rosemary, lavender, and other plants. The room was excellent, with simple, charming furnishings. Lunch was beautifully presented and full of flavor. I hope to come back with the whole family for more happy, peaceful moments.

The location is fantastic, surrounded by nature, and the property is spacious and meticulously maintained. But the service and food fell far below expectations. Even the first greeting felt utterly cold and unwelcoming. Drinks like white wine were served piping hot, and the first courses were semi-hot, sticky, and very salty. I don’t want to go on, though there’s still so much more I could write.

We only stayed for a short weekend, but I was extremely satisfied and already can’t wait to return. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s kindness and professionalism made us feel at home. The managers also quickly put us at ease, with a sincere love for their work and a warmth that isn’t always a given. The sustainable architecture sits right in the greenery, among an enchanting garden scented with roses and lavender, with the beautiful Lucanian hills all around. Large transparent windows in the reception and restaurant make the indoor and outdoor spaces feel connected, letting you appreciate the nature outside and bringing a lovely sense of calm. Inside the masseria, the rooms and shared spaces are finely furnished, with elegant design down to the smallest details. And the food deserves a mention too. The Michelin-starred Chef prepared refined dishes with careful attention to detail, skillfully using a range of local Lucanian traditional products in a modern, elegant way, with divine flavors. Borgo delle Emozioni stirred all our emotions and senses. The view captivated us, the garden’s fresh Mediterranean scents intoxicated us, and the dishes pampered us. We were caressed by the rustling wind and birdsong, then lulled by the hosts’ hospitality.
