Residence Giardino del Sole

The owner was really nice, and the view was fantastic from this quiet spot. My apartment had simple furnishings, but it was okay. The fridge worked. I didn't use the other appliances, so can't comment on them. Breakfast suited me as a vegetarian. As of June 2019.

The bar, pool, and incredible view all made for a really relaxing stay in a lovely location. It felt like home, as if we'd known the place for years. Giuseppe was always available and answered every request with an easy yes. We were never left needing anything. Thanks for helping us feel relaxed and at home, Giuseppe. The sea view, sunshine all day, and sunset are fantastic, and the complex is beautifully situated. But the place is badly maintained, with worn, dated facilities that make it seem as if the owners don't care. Even small jobs like taking out trash, replacing bulbs, or repainting are left undone. The rooms are old, barely equipped, and dirty. The stove didn't work, and it didn't seem like they were cleaned thoroughly. The shower curtains, wall below the air conditioner, and garden furniture were moldy, probably because of the constant damp in the room. With more commitment from the owner and some small repairs and renovations, this could be a real gem. As it is, it was disappointing.

A week here left us truly relaxed, from arriving at the door to the unfortunately final goodbye. The sunset is a highlight, with spectacular colors, and at night on a clear sky you can see the Milky Way and a carpet of stars thanks to the very low light pollution. The pool is clean and soothing, with a whirlpool, and there's also a natural sauna open 24/7. We found the room and the whole property clean and well kept. We booked a one-bedroom apartment, though other apartment types with kitchenettes are available. The residence sits on the provincial road and is easy to reach by public transport, with both line 1 and the CS line serving it. You can get around practically all of Ischia this way, and if needed you can rent a scooter or car. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for a summer day. The friendly owner and staff were available for questions and requests. Congratulations to the whole team, and thanks for everything. I'd happily return and definitely recommend it.
