Donna W.
Vicky at the concierge desk made a big difference for us. She suggested local restaurants and activities, gave us detailed maps and transit information, and answered all our questions. Her English was so fluent that we often went to her, since our Italian is definitely not! The rest of the desk team were lovely too. She’s a wonderful ambassador for the hotel and the island. We had a really lovely stay, though the time of year was the one thing that kept us from giving five stars across the board. We came in early November, very late in the season, and many places we wanted to see were closed. The hotel is a little dated, so the Wi-Fi can be patchy, and there are lots of stairs between rooms and the rest of the property. The website doesn’t do the view justice. Looking out the window in person was breathtaking. We also hadn’t expected all the pools to be open around the clock and heated by thermal springs, which was a great bonus. We treated ourselves to massages and facials at the spa, and I’d suggest booking early because you may want to fit in another treatment before you leave. For a future visit, I’d consider coming just after Easter. The weather may be like what we had in early November, but it’s the start of the tourist season, so places are open while the crowds are still manageable. I’m already looking forward to returning to this little bit of paradise.
