Le Cinèma

The free cinema tickets and the low nightly rate, which included a generous breakfast, were a pleasant surprise. I found the place on Booking.com by chance and arrived without high expectations, but the room changed my mind: it was roomy, clean, and matched the photo. Check-in and the doors are all handled digitally through a link, and no cinema noise made it into the room. There was Alexa and Sky, too, plus a form to list anything we needed so it could be brought to the room the next morning. My service dog had a great time. I couldn't have asked for more.

Mrs. Graziella made breakfast feel especially welcoming, serving it with a smile and real care. Her kindness and professionalism added a personal touch to the stay. I also loved the complimentary cinema ticket for the theatre downstairs, such a small but unusual detail. Le Cinema Formia itself is lovely, spotless, and very well organized, with thoughtful details throughout. We had a really pleasant stay, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and a welcoming atmosphere.

The room had a TV, fridge, safe, and coffee maker, and self check-in was easy. The minibar was free, and we also got a cinema ticket since the B&B sits above a multiplex. The pool of little details that would have helped was missing, though. Breakfast felt limited: the bacon with our eggs was raw, and on day one the coffee machines were broken, so we couldn't get coffee. In the bathroom there were only two bar soaps and body lotion, with no single-use shower gel.

The cinema theme appealed to me, and the property is beautiful, but our stays were disappointing. On our first arrival, we were handed a key to a room that already had someone in it. They moved us without even apologizing. The next morning I had no breakfast because, despite being told in chat that it would be fine, there were no gluten-free choices and I'm celiac. Then today, August 7, 2024, there was no water anywhere in the area from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, so we couldn't shower. My boyfriend and I have stayed at this B&B before, but we won't return.
