The setting has a beautiful view of the mountains, but the location is inconvenient. The town center is quite far, so you have to drive. There are no sidewalks along the roads, and the paths through the woods are very dangerous. I wouldn’t call it a suitable place for families. There are a lot of amenities, most of them good quality, and the facility itself isn’t bad. Still, poor maintenance keeps many areas from being used to their full potential. The food is okay, though the canteen staff serve subpar portions. The staff were very rude and unfriendly. I don’t know if they could have been worse. From the balcony, I saw an employee on a break. When he noticed me looking, he threatened to raise his hand.

Such a shame: small portions, rooms that are only half-made, painfully slow coffee machines, and drafty windows.

We chose this place as a mountain stay with things for our family to do if the weather turned bad, and it delivered on that. When it rained, we spent time by the pool, and had places where we could draw, talk, or watch TV. That’s why I gave it 4 stars. The rooms were cleaned daily, though the cleanliness wasn’t the best. They were adequate for a family’s basic needs. The food, on the other hand, was the big problem. It didn’t meet even school cafeteria standards. Meals were confusing, especially with groups of kids who also had to eat dinner. The self-service areas could perhaps be arranged better. The staff were more or less friendly and handled our requests without too much trouble. It’s hard to rate the place because it depends on what you need. I think it suits large, undemanding groups, like young people, or families willing to accept lower food quality in exchange for lots of amenities at an affordable price. Better food by itself wouldn’t justify the unreasonable prices of properties with similar amenities.

The one real plus in the accommodation they assigned us was having the place to ourselves. If you’re travelling with several relatives, it can work well since no one else is in the way and you can make use of the facility as you like. For families, though, the setup wasn’t suitable. The main hotel might be nice, but our room was in an adjacent building and left a bit to be desired. We also had to go to the main building for meals. The accommodation there has only bunk beds, so it seems better suited to students. Food was buffet style, with a queue and your plate handed over when your turn came. The dishes were okay, but there wasn’t much to choose from: two starters, two main courses, and a side dish. The pool changing rooms were dirty and didn’t even have hangers for clothes. Maybe things are better and more organized if you stay in the main building.
