Il Nido Del Grillaio

The location is central, the apartment is roomy, and the kitchen has plenty of equipment. We were two couples and a child staying for one night. The first-floor apartment had a bathroom, and there was another large bedroom with its own bathroom in the attic. There’s no elevator. Cleanliness was uneven: we found hairs in the bidet, and the fan was completely clogged with dust. The bathroom smelled strongly, and the water was only lukewarm even for a quick shower.

The apartment was spacious and well looked after, and the owner was kind. It’s in a perfect spot for visiting the Sassi. The surrounding area felt quite neglected, which was a real shame.

The house had plenty of amenities, and we were glad to find lots of herbal teas and coffees, plus pastries for breakfast. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable, though the living room’s double bed was less so because its mattress was very small.

The manager deserves a special mention for being patient, understanding, kind, and accommodating. The Japanese-style room was clean and well cared for, with a fridge, chilled still water, a coffee machine and pods, and biscuits. It’s just steps from the Sassi. Parking is hard to find and costs extra, but I still think the place is worth a visit.
