We fell in love with Matera, such a magical place, and the hotel's location made it easy to get to the main sights and several restaurants. The rooms felt cozy and were extremely clean, with free water and fresh fruit. The mini bar was stocked too, for a small fee. The service was the best we've had in Europe. The owner came by each morning to greet everyone, and the receptionist was so sweet and helpful. She gave great recommendations, helped with all our needs, told us about the city's history, and even walked us to our room at check-in. She really went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with live piano music, and the service felt like a luxurious restaurant. We could also visit the cisterns under the hotel. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The cave room was unbelievable, we really didn't want to leave. Breakfast was stunning, with a fantastic team and live pianists. From the moment we arrived, the friendly, helpful staff made us fall in love with Corte San Pietro. An amazing, five-star stay in every way.

Anna and the rest of the hotel staff were wonderful, they really go beyond what you'd usually expect. She arranged a fun, informative Tuk Tuk ride with Vito, then found us a driver to Lecce. The room was beautiful and breakfast was excellent. A+++

Matera is worth seeing at night, and Corte San Pietro puts you right in the middle of it. The hotel is made up of several cave-houses, which makes the stay feel really unique. Our spacious room had a separate sitting area from the bedroom, plus another sitting spot just outside the door in the courtyard, a lovely place for a nightcap. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Absolutely wonderful experience.

We spent two amazing days here, and even getting there felt like part of the treat: the shuttle from the Sant'Isodoro car park was perfectly organized. The hotel sits right among Matera's Sassi, with everything we wanted to see an easy walk away. The kind, professional staff made us feel thoroughly spoiled. We had a luxurious breakfast with live music, spacious rooms with private bathrooms, and beautiful 16th-century buildings to stay in. Underneath the complex are interconnected cisterns that were amazing to see. Thanks to you all!
