We left after just one night, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The first thing we found was a dirty room, with stained sheets, hair, and dust everywhere. There were also bugs near the bed, and we couldn't feel at ease. The shower was moldy and the bathroom smelled strongly of sewage. The door wouldn't close properly, the air conditioning didn't work, and the hot water kept coming and going. Maintenance seemed nonexistent. When we raised the problems, the staff were rude and unhelpful. The value for money was terrible for what was offered. A stay to forget, never again.

A great base for exploring the Matera region, with its own car park. The hotel is lovely, and the location is pleasant, just a 10-minute walk from the centre. Our bedroom stayed cool and had a high ceiling. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable, and the front desk was efficient. Highly recommended.

The staff were sweet and welcoming, and Alissa made us feel at home while introducing us to her wonderful city. The breakfast buffet was well served, and the grounds are pleasant with a pool. It's a lovely old building with nicely appointed rooms, off-street parking, and a good location about 15-20 minutes from the historic area.

Such an oasis! The garden is peaceful after long hours in Matera, and we enjoyed both the standard and comfort rooms, they were stunning. The pool was lovely after spending hours in town, and walking there was very easy. Staff were warm, kind, and helpful. Perfection, and I say that as a 30 year boutique hotelier.

We loved our one-night visit to see Matera, an easy 10-minute walk away. It's a lovely old building, and the rooms are comfortable. The standard rooms with balconies are nice, and the kids loved the pool, though it was very cold. Staff were exceptionally friendly and hospitable, and breakfast in the morning was a good continental spread.
