The Montasio and speck soufflé was soft, moist, and full of flavor, and the venison ragù had tender, well-seasoned meat. The seared cheese was delicious, if a bit oily. The desserts were good too, though a little overpriced. Really good food and quality ingredients. I’ll come back.

The food was so good it had me thinking about buying a house nearby. Fresh mountain air and being tired probably make everything taste better, but this meal was phenomenal. The prices were amazing, and the staff were kind and lovely. I can’t say enough about how heavenly the food was!

The food is a real showcase for local ingredients, from cheese and affettati to frico, which is typical and a must-try. There’s also a great choice of drinks and desserts. With lots of snow around, the place can look difficult to reach, but the road is cleaned regularly. I’d definitely come back.

The outdoor seating is great when the weather is sunny and warm. There are indoor areas for rainy days, but they’re not as appealing as sitting outside. The place is set back from the main road, so it’s very quiet. I haven’t tried their famous “Frico,” said to be the best in the area. The menu generally focuses on Carnian specialties. There’s some room for improvement, which is why I gave it 3*.
