Hotel Sonia

The clean, tidy rooms were the only real positive for me. Breakfast was awful, with a limited choice and low-quality products, and the service felt poor because staff were inattentive. We also weren't told in advance what bicycle rental would cost. €60 for two days seemed excessive, especially since the bikes weren't in good condition and needed repairs before we could use them. I'll return to Forte dei Marmi, but I won't stay at this hotel again and can't recommend it.

The food is what makes Albergo Sonia stand out. Mrs. Licia passed the cooking on to her daughter Katia, and it is wholesome, generous, and full of traditional aromas and flavors, from breakfast through lunch and dinner. For over 20 years, we've spent holidays in Versilia with Mrs. Licia and her daughters, and every visit brings the same warm welcome and care that leaves us refreshed and pampered. Sonia expertly runs this small, charming family boutique hotel with care for its guests. It's just steps from the sea and the center of Forte dei Marmi, so you can enjoy the town's quiet without needing to leave your car behind. The center is an easy walk, or you can use the hotel's bicycles. The rooms are well looked after, often renovated, clean, quiet, and cool. The dining room, garden with its fountain, living room, and other spaces are tastefully furnished, with every detail reflecting the life of Mrs. Licia and her family. She and her daughters Sonia and Katia run the hotel with passion and dedication. Highly recommended if you're after a peaceful, caring place and an authentic Versilia stay. It's not ostentatious luxury, but it has elegance and discreet charm.

The location couldn't be better, close to the center and only a few meters from the sea. Parking is in an area with both white and blue lines, so that needn't be a worry. The property is a real gem, elegant and very clean, and the owner was kind and ready to help with anything. Our room was spotless, had a very comfortable bed, and lacked nothing. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were polite, always greeting us with a smile. It was a perfect stay. I'd gladly return and highly recommend it.
