Casa Virgilio

I only just left, and already I'm not sure whether I was a customer or a guest. They made me feel like part of the family. The place is wonderful, and the owners are among the kindest, most welcoming people. Highly recommended.

We felt right at home here. It's a lovely, quiet, secluded place, and the owners were very friendly and looked after us so well. There was lots to choose from at breakfast. For dinner, there's a restaurant about five minutes away on foot, or you can drive down the mountain to Sarzana. We had a wonderful time.

The bathroom is spacious, and the mattresses are incredibly comfortable. Breakfast is generous and varied, with especially good homemade cakes and pies. The owners are kind and attentive, and really try to make you feel at ease. It's peaceful and surrounded by greenery, with lovely views, though not close to amenities. Town and the sea are about 15 minutes away. The only real challenge is driving in: the last part of the road is unpaved, and there isn't much room to maneuver, especially in a long car. Still, it's manageable ;)

The Blue Room is spacious and comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Its bathroom has original blue paintwork and is just as clean. Breakfast is delicious, with a generous mix of sweet and savory food, so there's plenty to choose from. Nanda is a very kind hostess and attentive to every request. Wendy the dog and Filippo the cat are a delight for the little ones. Casa Virgilio B&B is a wonderful place for families with children or anyone wanting to recharge in complete peace, surrounded by greenery. You can even catch a lovely glimpse of the sea from a distance. The beautiful Malaspina Castle in Fosdinovo is nearby. A unique stay, and we'll definitely be back. Thanks for everything, Nanda.
