The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and full of character, with lovely design. The views are breathtaking. I especially liked being able to wander through almost the whole castle.

We had a great time touring the castle. The guide was lovely with the kids, and although the tour was in Italian, we were given a pamphlet in English.

Fantastic spot, with marvelous views, rooms, and breakfast, plus really nice staff. The only possible downside for some is access, since it's a medieval castle and isn't very accessible.

We stayed for one night as a family and had a great time exploring the castle's different rooms and outdoor viewpoints. The castle was amazing, and breakfast was great. I'd love to come back and stay longer. A few things felt creepy, though. A downstairs door opened right in front of my son and me, and after the bedroom door opened by itself, I saw two bright pink flashes of light in the bedroom.

The aperitivo on the outdoor terrace was amazing. We watched the sunset with wine, cheeses, salmon, and homemade breads, and Claudia was so kind and such an incredible cook. Breakfast was delicious too, served in a beautiful, sunlit room. At Castello Malaspina di Fosdinovo, the staff were warm and hardworking, and we felt like royalty. The stay was magical and unforgettable, with the castle feeling completely authentic. Wandering around at night was surreal and a little spooky, in the best way. We honestly didn't want to leave and can't wait to return. If you're planning a trip, we'd happily suggest coming here instead of spending a day in Rome or Florence. Ciao!
