Villaggio Camping Valdeiva

The campsite is fairly large, yet people still have their own privacy. Prices are affordable, the facilities are clean, and the staff are friendly. There’s also a great pizzeria on the grounds.

The valley is surrounded by beautiful mountains, and our tent spot felt private and cosy behind its own hedge. The campsite has a bit of an allotment garden feel. Everything was clean and tidy, including the quiet showers, and the pool was nice for a morning dip. The kind night guard let us in very late, well past the stated arrival time. Many residents have dogs, though, and they can disturb you early in the morning.

We spent four nights there as a couple with our caravan at the end of May 2024. The tent, caravan, and motorhome area is pleasant, with spacious pitches, though cars have to stay parked outside. The nearby toilet block was clean and well maintained, and the campsite reception was welcoming and helpful. The campground restaurant was another plus, with friendly people, excellent food, and a quiet terrace in the shade. The free shuttle to and from Deiva Marina train station is very useful for seeing the region’s tourist highlights. A good base for exploring the whole Ponant Riviera between Genoa and La Spezia.

The ladies gave us superb service and were very helpful when we needed support. The shuttle was splendid too. Our camper pitch was on the grid, but it was okay. The showers and toilets opposite the pitches were very good.
