I only got to spend one night at Casa Catena in lovely Francavilla, and wish it had been longer. Giovanna looked after me so kindly. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and VERY clean, with a kitchen that has everything you might need. The balconies have perfect views, and the location is great. After traveling around Italy for a while, I can say this was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. I can't recommend the place enough!

The view is beautiful, the place is comfortable and clearly well looked after. I also had no trouble finding free parking.

The kitchen is so well equipped that, even though everything in Italy was closed for Easter, we could cook after finding a shop with a few ingredients. Giovanna was a huge help and let us check in early. We ate pasta with local ingredients on the kitchen balcony, with lovely views, and it became one of those memories that sticks with you. At night, we could just hear a little of the nearby river. I had a really good stay and would absolutely recommend this place.

The first-floor apartment was huge, with several bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen with a fridge and stove, storage space, and a big entrance hall. The mountain views from the rooms were UNIQUE, and in the morning we could hear birds and the rushing river. Everything was spotless, and Mrs. Giovanna was wonderfully kind and clearly great at her job. The woman who handled our booking was also helpful and gave us good information. We stayed as two people on Saturday night, July 5, and can't wait to come back with friends. There was room for up to 7 people. Parking was available on the street or by the house, and the neighborhood felt quiet and safe for the car. Bakeries, supermarkets, and bars are just a few meters away. It's exactly 10 minutes from the Alcantara Gorges, and a good base for visiting Taormina and nearby places. Great value for money. Thanks to the two lovely ladies 💕💕💕
