Fresh grapes and figs appeared in a basket that evening, and they were the sweetest I’ve ever tasted. We’d bought some wine too, then enjoyed a lovely evening by the pool looking out over the countryside. This is a quiet little site above rolling hills, and the owner greeted us, showed us where everything was, then went back to making wine, which my husband was very pleased to hear. He spoke a little English. There’s one combined toilet and shower, a bit in need of care but perfectly adequate, and the shower takes a €1 coin. We’d definitely come back.

We were warmly welcomed and well looked after. The site is tidy and well maintained, with a small pool and playground. We were delighted to buy olive oil and red and white wine made there. There’s also a good restaurant nearby.

Campers are always treated with friendliness and courtesy here. It’s an easy place to load and unload, the electricity is good, and it has what you need for either a short or longer stay. There’s a pool with a hot tub and even a bocce court.

We spent a wonderful stay here at the end of April, and hope to do it again soon. My wife Silvia and I were with our friends Quintino and Adele, staying in two adjoining studio apartments. They were modern and spotless, and the owners were wonderful hosts. We could have breakfast outside on the veranda, with only the rooster, birds, and donkeys breaking the quiet of the countryside. The views took in vineyards, fruit trees, and wheat fields, lovingly cared for by Mr. Umberto and his son Federico. Greetings from Salento, and goodbye for now. Silvia and Michele P.S.
