La Casa dell'Architetto

The food was good, though the aperitif portions felt a little small. The terrace by the pool is lovely for a Cenoira snack, but we couldn't stay because there were mosquitoes everywhere. Once we got home, we counted at least 50 bites on our backs and legs. For two mixed drinks, two desserts, a glass of wine, and a liter of water, €63 felt like too much for a place out in the middle of the fields.

We chose the "Merenda Signoria" and really enjoyed the quality products, followed by delicious homemade desserts. The menu also has a nice range of à la carte dishes, and there's a Lounge Bar and Cocktails for people spending time by the pool. The Asti hills look spectacular from the terrace and pool, and the atmosphere made for a lovely evening event. The welcome was the one awkward part. The lady handling it seemed unprepared when explaining the menu, and opening a fine wine bottle between her knees didn't feel right for the setting. Given the place and its atmosphere, I would have expected the bottle to be introduced and opened at the table. After that, a friendly, attentive gentleman took over and ran the event very well. Everyone was kind throughout. Prices seemed reasonable, and we'll definitely be back, especially on a warm summer evening.

We had a relaxing day by the pool, and I thought the lunch service was welcoming and quick. The food was just right for us, not as meager as some reviews suggest. The setting is lovely. There were a few bugs along the pool edge, but it's outdoors, so that didn't surprise me. After seeing some of the mixed reviews, I wanted to share our experience. Five stars to the architect's house!

I paid €8 for a gin and tonic, which seemed fair for a nightlife spot. The farmhouse sits in a beautiful garden with a great view of the Monferrato, and having an aperitif by the pool there is a real pleasure.
