The apartment's not in a condition where it should be rented or sold. The box springs sagged so badly that we had to sleep on the floor. The kitchen had no equipment at all, and there were no towels or paper towels. Water from the tap came out yellow. The bathroom has clearly seen better days, and the attic ceiling leaves room to stand only in the shower. There's no bidet, which is another problem. The furniture is cheap and very dated, with no sense of style. The heating did work, but we had to take care of it ourselves. Nothing seemed to have been done to make the stay comfortable.

The food here is homemade, authentic, good quality, and competitively priced. We came across this bar-restaurant while in Frosolone, which is listed among Italy's most beautiful villages, hoping to find local nature and authenticity on the plate. The room itself felt rather dark and dingy, with almost no decor.

This is one of the last Molise trattorias. If you're in Frosolone or nearby, I recommend giving it a try. My family likes everything, especially the handmade gnocchi baked in the clay pot, made by Concetta, and the sliced steak, which has a flavor all its own. Right in the center of Frosolone, with really spacious, welcoming rooms. There isn't a bidet, though, and for me that's essential.
