The veranda and little garden were the nicest places to sit, with roof fans that kept the air comfortable. The garden umbrella, though, was completely ripped and looked pretty bad. Inside, the kitchen worked well enough and the fridge was a decent size, but nearly all the old pans were damaged and there was only one lid. The bathroom was fine, though getting into the shower was awkward because the opening is narrow. The 5kg washing machine was handy. The apartment was spotless, and the owner was kind and friendly throughout. It’s about 500 meters from the sea and has two bedrooms plus a kitchen/living room. The bathroom size makes it a better fit for four. One bedroom has air conditioning, the other doesn’t, which we already knew. There are two single beds and a sofa bed as well. The double mattress sank in and gave no support. We didn’t sleep on the single beds, but sitting on them didn’t feel comfortable. The sofa beds felt like too much for the space: the one in the small room blocks the window when opened, while the one in the kitchen would sit in the middle of the room. It’s uncomfortable as a sofa, with almost no mattress and no cushions. The wicker veranda sofa drops you low when you sit, and its cushions are practically nonexistent, with wooden chairs stored underneath serving as support. The beds, sofas, and some of the furnishings need replacing. The place has potential, but with the distance from the sea and the poor value for money as it stands, I wouldn’t come back.
