The resort grounds are beautiful, with a lovely beach, and the property is very clean and well cared for. The rental, though, was in really poor shape. It didn’t feel clean, the old closets smelled so bad that we kept our clothes in our suitcases, and the space was laid out badly. The kitchen was tiny, despite looking bigger in the booking.com photos, and had no dishwasher. Beyond plates, cutlery, and a small pot or pan, there wasn’t any equipment. It’s a shame because the space itself is wonderful. The rentals need a complete redo, and they should pay more attention to cleaning.

The apartment has a beautiful view, but there was a serious shortage of clean towels and bed linen. Nobody cleaned it during the two weeks we stayed, and the rubbish was never collected. In the heat, that was appalling, especially as there wasn’t a single bin anywhere in the complex. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The beach at Portorosa is lovely, with fine gravel mixed with sand, and the whole area is charming and well kept. Laguna Azzurra is a peaceful, safe little haven, set farther from the two bars in the complex where popular evening events and music take place, so the music doesn’t bother you. It’s about 500 meters from the sea, inside the Portorosa lagoon complex of residences and private homes, with access through a gate and a 24-hour concierge. Mrs. Enza and Matilde are very kind and always ready to sort out any problems. It’s a beautiful place, highly recommended.

We found the apartment welcoming and very clean, with a view over the lagoon. The place itself is beautiful, and the staff were friendly and quick when we had a couple of minor issues. There were a few annoyances: the refrigerator didn’t work properly, and the bathroom had no amenity kit or kitchen towels. Still, it was a comfortable, quiet stay.
