Hotel Giovanna Regina

The sheets were stained, and the bathrooms were dirty. We raised it with the staff, but the sheets were never replaced. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Keep away.

The pool came in handy when the weather wasn't reliably sunny, and it was ideal for us. I was there with my four-year-old daughter on the final weekend of the 2025 summer season, and we've already decided we'll return to Giovanna Regina. The rooms were very quiet, spotless, and had everything we needed. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and staff topped things up as soon as supplies started running low. Dinner was delicious, too. A nice extra for our daughter was being able to choose what she wanted, beyond the regular menu. The hospitality was superb and the location excellent. I'd recommend it to everyone.

We felt like one big family here and had a lovely stay. The hotel is right by the sea, and it also works well for guests with mobility difficulties or disabilities. Meals were excellent: breakfast in the garden, lunch and dinner with sea views, and a sweet idea was finishing dessert on the beach. We also enjoyed dining on the terrace and taking in the view and sunsets. The rooms were clean and welcoming. Mine could have used a wardrobe with a drawer, though. The staff were friendly and professional, from Andrea at the helm to reception, the dining room, and everyone else, always attentive to guests. We celebrated Rocco's birthday, too. Thanks to Andrea, Rocco, Bianca, and all the staff. I first stayed here for nine days at the end of August, and I'd gladly come back.

The terrace was a lovely part of the stay, with greenery all around and welcome shade on the hottest summer days. We could have all three meals there. The renovated room we stayed in was lovely, and the beach was just across the pedestrian street, included in the price. Andrea also arranges boat trips for guests, including a watermelon party out at sea. We had a great time on that outing. We've spent years holidaying in Gabicce Mare, which is such a lovely seaside place, and have known Andrea for more than 20 years, following him through the different hotels he's managed. He's a warm, attentive host who takes care with the details and tries to meet guests' requests. He clearly loves what he does, and he's always backed by kind, professional staff. Food has long been his strong point, and at Giovanna Regina, where I stayed for the first time this year, I think he's surpassed himself. Breakfast wasn't huge, but the sweet and savory choices were well balanced, with fruit, smoothies, and juices. Lunch and dinner were thoughtfully made with good ingredients. For us, Gabicce Mare means Andrea Cagnoli, and he hasn't let us down.
