Families and older guests seem to make up most of the crowd here, with plenty of local people staying too. The hotel is close to the beach, and meals are covered from breakfast through dinner. The food was excellent.

We stayed in mid-August, and I won't be choosing a hotel like this again. It's an old place, the owner made us feel unwelcome, and the staff were very rude. The room cleaning was poor, and the food was badly prepared and below par. A terrible stay, and I wouldn't recommend it.

We had a lovely five days at Hotel San Marco, despite going in with doubts after reading so many negative reviews. The staff were kind and friendly, though one waitress was a little less so. Breakfast got repetitive, with the same vegetables at the buffet each day, and cleanliness could use a bit more attention. Still, we enjoyed our stay.

The staff were all so friendly, and the hotel is handy for both the beach and pedestrian center. We spent five days here; it was welcoming and clean, and the food was good quality. Breakfast and the vegetable buffet were repetitive, though. My only other gripe is that hot drinks at breakfast come from the lobby bar, since there isn't a machine.
