I can’t recommend this place. The rooms were small, and in mine the bathroom was about one and a half times the size of the bedroom. I also heard guests complain that their bathrooms were no more than 2m^2. Hot water was a major issue. I understand it can be hard to keep up when everyone showers, but neither I nor the other guest I spoke with ever had any. Breakfast wasn’t really breakfast: just a few small slices of bread, a little cornflakes, cheese or ham slices, mediocre cake, and some fruit. It wasn’t nearly enough, and I don’t think I ate enough during the whole stay. Dinner wasn’t much better. The portions were often small, the food was hardly good, and when it was, there was no option to get more.

The whole place needs a full renovation. My room was tiny, and the bathroom was barely accessible.

The low price suited the season and location, but I still wouldn’t stay again. The building seemed nice overall, though my room was old, and the bidet in the room wasn’t an issue. The thin walls let us hear the neighbors showering clearly. Each time, the plumbing made the sink in our room shriek like a siren, jolting me awake four or five times overnight. We told the owner and got what was basically a shrug. I know it’s a busy period, but guests shouldn’t be treated that way. The en-suite bathroom was essentially a rather scary plastic container.

Franca's cooking was superb, and Alessandra, the owner, made us feel right at home. We stayed at the Hotel Mologna for a family holiday and found a traditional, well-kept place that was very clean. It’s in a quiet spot, only a short drive from the slopes, and the staff were welcoming and helpful.

Alessandra’s spontaneous kindness and smile were the real highlight for me. The property is just minutes from Gressoney and the snow-covered slopes, with a warm, attentive atmosphere. Our spacious, recently renovated room had an extremely comfortable bed. Half board was extraordinary value. I’ve stayed in nearby Gressoney many times, so I have plenty to compare it with, and we can’t wait to return to the Mologna.
