Anna and Enzo made us feel so welcome, and I’m especially grateful to Enzo for getting my very hesitant boys to try the sea for the first time. We came as a family with young twins and grandparents, and I already know I’d like to return someday. Anna baked fresh pastries each morning and served them with tasty fruit and homemade custard, a different flavor every day. The rooms were lovely, with thoughtful details and beautiful design. There was plenty of wardrobe and suitcase space, plus great showers, air conditioning, a mini fridge, and a smart TV. The house was a 5-10 minute walk from the beach, depending on which one you chose.

Anna was a friendly, helpful host with plenty of good suggestions, and Serapo beach was an easy five-minute walk away. The newer part of town, including the restaurants along Via dell'Indipendenza, takes about 20 minutes on foot. Be sure to stop at Pizzeria Rustica there. For Old Town, or Medieval Gaeta, a cab or bus is best, and you can catch the bus across the street. Scirocco Bistrot is a great dinner option in the old town. Chiaror di Mare made for a really enjoyable stay. Some rooms are a little small, but they’re all spotless and new. The two front rooms have outdoor lounge chairs and water views, and the air conditioning works very well.

You can get straight into the sea from the terrace cliff using comfortable stairs, and the setting there is spectacular, especially at sunset. It’s right in front of the water, with space to sunbathe, rest, or eat. The property’s location was exactly what I’d hope for. The B&B’s shared area is nicely organised and a good place to relax with family or friends. The rooms are fabulous and have everything you might need, while breakfast is full of delicious homemade cakes and biscuits. The owners have put so much care into every detail. After staying in accommodations in several countries, this is honestly one of the best places I’ve been lucky enough to stay. Chiara and her mother are lovely and always ready to make your stay special. A perfect place in Gaeta.

We felt at home straight away and were comfortable throughout our stay. Parking was plentiful, and we could easily walk to restaurants and the old town. We loved learning about Gaeta and the surrounding area from locals, and we can’t wait to come back. Thanks, Anna and Enzo. This was our second visit to Chiaror do Mare, and we had another wonderful time. Anna and Enzo are warm, engaging hosts, and Anna shared lots of good recommendations. Our spotless, well-equipped room faced the sea and had a balcony, a lovely spot to unwind and take in the area. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh food and great cappuccino. We also enjoyed our morning conversations about the day before and what to do next.
