This medieval abbey, built in 1051 and turned into a wine resort, is a beautiful place to get away in style. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the garden breakfast and food were excellent, with homemade pastries like pistachio-filled croissants. Their own wines were great too, and the staff were friendly.

We stayed for seven nights in the Fattore apartment and really felt at home. La Badia is a sort of all friend we discovered more than 10 years ago, first visiting and then coming back to stay some years later. There’s a gorgeous garden, a nice pool, a library, and plenty to enjoy. The staff are very professional. We highly recommend it.

The staff at Badia a Coltibuono were lovely and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Linda was a fantastic teacher during the two-day cooking class, and Giusy helped make our stay special. This peaceful escape sits atop a Tuscan hill in a monastery built in 1050, now a winery and hotel. The historic buildings and delicious wine are wonderful, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and well appointed. We can't wait to bring our family back.

We came just for the wine tour and tasting and had a great time. Agatha was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable about the history of the old monastery that's now a winery, and she guided us through the different wines we sampled.

The abbey tour and tasting were a really good experience, and I'm glad we went. The grounds are beautiful, the wine is tasty, and our guide was friendly and helpful. The location is unique, as it was originally a monastery. The wine was pretty good, though not our favorite in the region. Booking the visit was a bit confusing, so that process could be improved.
