Anewandterhof

We felt welcome right away, and the host family and staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout. I was traveling with my two daughters and our dog, and we were all comfortable. We only wished we could have stayed longer, so we'll definitely return. The spa was a real treat, clean and carefully put together, with fresh towels and blankets, fruit, cookies, and vending machines always available. The pool and fitness room were lovely too, whether you wanted to relax or be active. Meals were excellent every time. Breakfast had a fresh, high-quality spread with plenty to choose from, and dinner was five courses each evening. They also handled special requests without any fuss.

I can only speak about the holiday apartments, not the hotel. The apartment had recently been renovated, with a TV, kitchenette, roomy bathroom, seating area, and a double bed. Towels are changed once a week. The main problem was dampness. The windows kept fogging up even after we aired the place out, and there was mold. Maybe summer is different. We were in apartment 4, and the Wi-Fi was either painfully slow, like old dial-up, or unavailable altogether. The rooms are otherwise okay for holiday apartments.

We had a lovely stay in a quiet neighborhood beside the river, with a beautiful view and a riverside walking path. There's plenty of free parking, and it's spacious. Check-in is handled at a yellow hotel across the way. The bathroom heating might only work when it's very cold. A great experience away from the center.

We've been coming to Uttenheim for more than 30 years, and the Mairl family always makes us feel at home. The owners are welcoming, and the staff are cheerful and friendly. Both the hotel, including the Anewandterhof, and its holiday apartments are beautiful and tastefully furnished. The hotel was fully renovated and expanded a few years ago, and the apartments at the Anewandterhof have just been modernized too. We feel comfortable whichever accommodation we choose. The restaurant is excellent, from a generous breakfast to the evening menu. There's plenty of variety, and the prices are more than fair compared with other restaurants. I highly recommend the hotel and apartments.
