It’s a bit of a walk down to the main square, and the climb back is quiet, though seeing police on most corners felt reassuring. The hotel is very traditional, clean and tidy, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size, with a well-sized bathroom and a great shower. Toiletries were replaced daily, and the minibar fridge was stocked. The only thing missing was a kettle and tea facilities. The bar, outdoor seating area, and rooftop weren’t open while we were there. I’d definitely recommend it if you don’t mind getting your steps in.

Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and tidy too. The location worked perfectly for us, near Termini and about a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre. We had a lovely stay at Hotel Medici and I’d come back next time I’m in Rome. Thanks to the hotel staff! 😊

For the price, this was a great hotel. It’s within walking distance of important sights, yet the area felt quiet and calm. Our room was nice and clean, though the bathroom was small. The service and breakfast were both good.

You get what you pay for here, and it’s advertised as a 3 star hotel, which is what we got. I’d stay again if I needed to, and I think most people could be comfortable, especially younger travelers who are mainly there to see the town. I had a pleasant chat with the man at check-in, though I’m a fairly experienced traveler. I asked them to change the batteries in our AC remote. They lightly pushed back, saying the AAA batteries still had enough power to run the clock, but the remote didn’t work, and I managed to convince them to replace them. That fixed it. It made me laugh.

The highlight was Pinsere, the pizza place out front. We stayed three nights in April 2026 in room 123, which we booked online. We didn’t like it much: it was small and triangular, with little wardrobe space and no way to make tea or coffee, which is a British thing.
