The wellness area deserves a special mention: the pool and sauna rituals were lovely, and everything was clean and thoughtfully arranged. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, too. The rooms were set up for comfort, and the whole hotel felt cozy and very well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing seemed to be a problem. We haven’t slept in a hotel this well maintained in a long time. We’ll definitely return and recommend it to friends.

The food was the highlight for us. Breakfast had a huge range of choices for different diets, including vegan and gluten-free, and every five-course dinner was excellent. We stayed a week and couldn’t find a dish we didn’t like. The regional cooking was intricate and delicious, the best hotel food we’ve had so far. There was plenty of parking, and we liked the cozy lounge areas and tea corner. Our rooms were spacious and welcoming, and exceptionally clean. The wellness options include a spa, massages, sauna and pool. There’s also a museum of the hotel’s history and collections in the underground passage between the two buildings. A charming, comfortable place, and we had a very positive stay.

We didn’t have dinner, but breakfast was perfect. The spa was the best we’ve visited, and the service was impeccable. Staff were always available when we needed anything, and we felt thoroughly looked after.

We’ve had drinks at the well-stocked bar alongside both guests and locals, and there’s plenty to keep you occupied at the hotel. The food has been five-star so far, and the owner has been present and accommodating. I’ve enjoyed reading on the balcony with its beautiful mountain view. I’m planning to use the indoor pool and spa, or perhaps the sauna, later, then try to beat my wife at table tennis tonight. Our room is clean and great. The wait staff have been impeccable; even those who speak only a little English are eager to help. The desk can book things for you, too. We’re heading to Venice in a few days, and skiing is nearby, with the ski bus stopping right outside. It’s a small town, but the hotel doesn’t feel small-town at all. Five stars all around, and we’d gladly come back.
