Li Pappi Antico Casale

Fantastic.

Our group from Romagna stayed at Li Pappi from September 21st to 28th, 2024, and we had a lovely time. The rooms were spacious and nicely furnished, and the property has a large garden that's kept in good shape. The owners were welcoming and kind. Breakfast was generous, with homemade cakes and savory choices. Galatina's historic center is charming and worth seeing, along with many other places around Salento. I highly recommend staying here. It's about 20 to 30 minutes from both the Ionian and Adriatic coasts.

The old country house is beautiful, surrounded by walls, with a garden and pool, and it's close to central Galatina. We loved having breakfast under the gazebo in the shade. The local food was excellent, especially the pasticciotto and yogurt from a nearby dairy. The room and bathroom were always clean and tidied, and there was always cold water in the mini-fridge. Niki recommended some great seaside spots to visit, and the service was excellent.

We were sorry to leave. We felt more at home here than at home, thanks in part to Niki, who made sure everything went smoothly. His advice and kindness made the stay memorable, and I'll especially remember all the different pasticciotti we tried. The building is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel, with fresh local food in both sweet and savory options. It's an excellent place to stay, about half an hour from Puglia's best beaches. We'll recommend it to anyone visiting and hope to return.
