Nohasi Palace

We spent one of our three days relaxing by the pool, and the peace and quiet were just right. It made a good base for us, with a short drive to busier towns in every direction. The location feels a little random, but the place itself is beautiful, the rooms are luxurious, and the service is excellent. We’d definitely come back.

We came for the pool, the lovely food cooked over an open fire, the wellness treatments, and that warm hospitality, and ended up spending most of our time at the hotel. It’s only a 25-30 minute drive from Lecce, Otranto & Gallipoli. This hidden gem has only been open for 3 years, yet they know how to impress in every way. We’ll definitely return.

The menu was reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and knew their stuff. It’s an exquisite, elegant place for a meal, with stunning surroundings, and would make a perfect wedding venue. It’s a little off the beaten track for tourists like us, but what a find in Noha, nr Galatina.

The restaurant was inviting and relaxed, with cozy tables, great food, and staff who took wonderful care of us. The wine was poured just right, and the meal could hold its own against any upscale restaurant in the US. Before dinner, we got to tour Nohasi, a beautifully restored property on a level I hadn’t seen here before. Walking among the orange trees in bloom at night was magical. There’s an indoor/outdoor bar, lovely ancient scenery, exquisitely renovated and decorated hotel rooms, and an amazing spa. It’s newly opened, but I can see it becoming very successful. If you’re in Salento, it’s an absolute must. I’m looking forward to another visit soon.
