We had a great stay with a group of friends. The villa had plenty of space, with a good-sized lounge, dining and kitchen area, a well-equipped kitchen, and a flat-screen TV. There were three bedrooms to the right as you come in: one single, one double, and one twin. The twin room has no outside window. There are two nicely appointed bathrooms. The water pressure was a bit low for me, but it didn’t cause any real problems. The area is lovely but VERY steep and hilly. You enter through the garden gate, and there are about 20 steps down from the road to the side door. If you have mobility issues, take that seriously, since the whole coast is steep. It’s about a 15-minute walk downhill by steps to the beach, with the uphill walk back to keep in mind. There’s no parking outside the villa. The available parking space costs extra and is about a five-minute walk away.

Praiano felt peaceful and laid-back compared with nearby Positano, and our mid-September stay was warm, with the sea still comfortable for swimming. The apartment had several bedrooms and was well equipped. Its best feature was the view from high on the hill, looking down hundreds of feet to the Mediterranean. Getting to the beach means tackling a lot of steps, but it was well worth it.
