It’s a shame the local government doesn’t help keep the road to the property in good condition. It’s a big challenge and needs to be approached carefully. Once you’re there, though, the house is hidden behind massive wooden doors, with greenery and a real sense of quiet in the middle of nature, almost in the middle of nowhere. It was a great place to unwind after sightseeing. We enjoyed tasty breakfasts in the Masonic hall, which has a very interesting collection. The owner, Giovanni, was polite, friendly and available whenever we needed help. We’re especially grateful that he took us to the station in Sala Al Barro in the morning and picked us up in the evening. We’d never experienced anything like that. The care for guests was exceptional.

The place is nice, but it’s hard to find. The road is in really bad shape, and you need some driving skill to get along it.
