There was plenty of room for the four adults and one child in our group. We stayed two nights in the apartment with a garden. It had two bedrooms and a large living area with two sofas, and windows in every room. Everything was clean and worked well, and the place felt fresh. The paintwork was a little old, but that hardly mattered with such a helpful host. The fridge was spotless, there was soap, and the towels and sheets were better than at a hotel. The dishwasher was dishwasher safe.

I've never had anything like this happen before. Booking.com canceled my reservation just two hours before check-in, claiming a regular guest didn't want to leave the apartment I'd booked a week earlier and paid for in advance. It was a terrible experience, and I had to find somewhere else to stay within minutes so I wouldn't risk sleeping in my car.

The rooms were clean and spacious, but the street gets a lot of traffic, or at least it seemed that way on the day we were there. Some vehicles even had broken exhausts. Without air conditioning, opening the windows wasn't an option.

The spaces were welcoming, clean, and roomy.

Cold rooms, and the apartment smelled of smoke.
