The restaurant is right downstairs, and the staff are friendly. The location is ideal for exploring Gallipoli’s old town on foot.

The family-run restaurant is part of the B&B, and the food was excellent, with plenty of local dishes. Service was great and prices very reasonable. I’d recommend stopping for lunch or dinner even if you’re not staying here. The B&B is an old palazzo, built in the 1600s, with original features like wall and ceiling frescoes and period doors. The antique-style furniture fits the building. Our room was very spacious, with a four-poster bed, and the bathroom was large and airy. The owners were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was satisfactory. It’s close to the Duomo of Gallipoli. The shower pressure was low. Also, cars can’t enter the historic center within the fortified walls. If you’re driving, you have to park at the marina car park, which costs EUR 1.50 per hour, then walk almost a kilometer, either up a long flight of steps or along an uphill road. This cost me a star. The booking website should make the parking situation clear.

We’d definitely like to come back. It’s a lovely place to stay in an old palace, with a great atmosphere and wonderful hosts. We also enjoyed the restaurant and breakfast, and I’d happily recommend it.

The building is beautiful and very old, and everything was clean. When our group needed to change rooms, the manager was accommodating. For anyone traveling around Italy on a budget, this was a fantastic place.
