Our August room booking through Booking.com turned sour the next day, when the owner called saying renovations were about to start. He insisted we cancel through the website ourselves so he wouldn’t have to pay Booking.com fees. He was supposed to find us another place at the same price, but never did. I don’t recommend it. He could leave you stranded.
