We only stayed one night at Palazzo Grassi, but it became one of the most memorable parts of my whole trip. When I mentioned my back was bothering me after a recent injury, Nadia quickly arranged for a doctor to come and see me, which turned out to be kismet. That's also how we met Margot, the proprietor, a wonderful and entertaining character. Nadia manages the place and was attentive and lovely. Even with our limited Italian, we communicated well. She arranged a parking spot and reserved us a table at a very good restaurant. The manor town house is charming, spacious, and clean. It's just off Gallipoli's main street, so it was quiet despite the crowds nearby. There's also a large terrace to sit and relax, plus an area to wash and dry clothes, very useful after time at the beach.

We found free street parking every day for our 12 days, even though parking wasn't on site. The room was clean, bright, and air conditioned, and the staff were friendly. Right in the center. No problems here.

The hostess was exceptional and gave us great tips for restaurants and places to visit. The rooms in this 18th century manor are spacious and reasonably priced. It's more than just a hotel, it's an experience. Warmly recommended!
