Simone and the hosts handled everything professionally and were a big help throughout our stay. Their suggestions were good too, especially Blanco, a very stylish cocktail bar. We stayed in the Melodia room at Relais La Casa del Poeta, right in Gallipoli’s historic center. It was spacious, thoughtfully laid out, stylish, and had everything we could need for a romantic getaway. We’d recommend it to friends and would come back.

We booked the largest room, and Simone welcomed us and took the time to explain how everything worked. It felt like a five-star stay. The family were all so kind, and they gave us a sheet of recommended places around town. Breakfast was great too. When we couldn’t find toothpaste, they even went out to get some for us. Loved it, and we’d absolutely stay again.

We spent four peaceful, comfortable nights in the suite. Simone’s welcome was lovely, and the people serving breakfast were great. The breakfast was good, with a fresh pastry waiting as a surprise each day. Communication before the trip was excellent too. Highly recommend.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. Our room was wonderful and everything else felt perfect, except that the boiler meant we couldn’t shower on the morning we checked out.

Parking was the one difficulty for us, since it’s public and I struggled to find a spot. Otherwise, we felt very welcome at La Casa Del Poeta in Gallipoli’s historic center. The rooms have a warm Salento look, with stone even along the sides of the beds, which were comfortable. Simone greeted us at the b&b, and the ladies were available in the morning at breakfast.
