Villetta Conca d'Oro

The garden relaxation area and pool are the best part of this lovely, quiet, well-kept villa. Eight adults, or even more, have plenty of room. Mr. Francesco was kind and made sure everything was in order for our stay. The villa came equipped with what we needed, including drinks in the fridge, and the cleanliness was impeccable. One small thought, warmer furnishings and lighting could make the atmosphere even nicer, though that's just personal taste. Highly recommended.

We loved this beautiful villa near the sea. It's spacious and comfortable, with three large, bright bedrooms, two bathrooms and toilets. There are several outdoor spots for meals as well as a large indoor dining room. The small pool and the two gas or wood barbecues were great.

We spent 15 days at the villa, from the last week of August 2018 into the first week of September, and the location was excellent for exploring Salento, the Ionian coast and the Adriatic coast. It's in Pizzo near Marina di Mancaversa, close to Gallipoli and 100 meters from the sea. Bicycles are provided for getting around nearby. The villa has three lovely bedrooms, a beautiful kitchen, a spacious living room, a nice terrace for breakfast or lunch, and a monumental fireplace. It can comfortably sleep eight, and ten would be fine too. There are three en-suite bathrooms, plus bathrooms and showers inside and outside, with the outdoor ones accessed from the courtyard. The splendid brick awning has a huge table and barbecue grill, perfect for long evenings with drinks and grilled meat and fish. There's a nice dishwasher and a small washing machine, though it could use a few more pieces of cutlery. Manager Francesco Torchetti knows the area well, is very helpful and can offer tourist information. Enjoy those fantastic seas. P.S. The internet connection leaves much to be desired.

The pool was especially useful during the Covid period, when we wanted to avoid crowded beaches. This beautiful villa has spacious rooms and a strategic location for reaching Salento's wonderful beaches and towns. We could have used a few more pieces of cutlery. There was little storage in the bedroom, with small closets and few shelves, especially in the smaller double bedroom. Wi-Fi was non-existent. I asked Francesco about it several times, but nothing changed. He was also hard to reach before our arrival, and weeks passed before we heard back. At the villa, he recited a little speech he'd learned by heart about the places and the house. When we asked questions, he said, "wait for it later!" We asked for the safe and he said he'd return with the key, unless there was a problem with the pool. When I followed up about the key, he said it was gone. I messaged him about a clogged drain and never got a response. What a shame! 😕
