Francesca was generous, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay, always quick to respond. The countryside views were unbelievable. Our group of twelve slept comfortably between the villa and tower, with room for more, and the daily-cleaned private pool was great. The kitchens and wood stoves were ready for cooking meals together at the outdoor table. There was plenty of parking for our rental cars, and restaurants, wineries, and nearby towns were an easy 20-30 minute drive away. This secluded estate made for a gorgeous Tuscan getaway. We can’t wait to come back.

You may spot deer, foxes, wild boar, or porcupines after dark around La Stricia, so bring a night vision camera if you have one. The fattoria is also well placed for exploring: Volterra, San Gimignano, and Certaldo are within a half-hour drive, while Siena, Pisa, Luca, and Firenze can be reached in about 90 minutes by car. It’s a peaceful, private spot with a fantastic view across the Tuscan hills toward Volterra, and a lovely place to spend a holiday in Tuscany.

There were four couples in our group, and we spent a week at Villa Belvedere, part of the Fattoria La Striscia estate, in early September 2024. The setting and views were fantastic, and the service was friendly and very good. The villa itself was fantastic too. We're coming back this year and really looking forward to it.
