Albergo all'Ancora

Breakfast was so good, and we ate delicious food at the restaurant too. Even with food restrictions, there were suitable options. The staff were incredibly kind, respectful, and helpful, and the place was very clean. We had a lake view that looked just like the pictures, even better, and felt worth every penny. They shared lots of information about things to do, like bike rentals, the swimming pool, and the beach. They made our trip so good. I highly recommend it.

The resort itself is still lovely, and we plan to return next year, but not to this hotel. After our fourth stay, we're done. There’s no entertainment anymore, and the smaller food selection and often lacking service leave a lot to be desired. The hotel is clean and the food is good. Since last year, the staff have changed and there's an atmosphere among them. If you booked through a travel agent, be ready to be treated less favorably than walk-in guests. The language barrier is often used to excuse shortcuts and rudeness. Hugely disappointing.

We had dinner and drinks here twice, though we didn't stay at the hotel. The terrace looks out over Lake Garda, especially lovely at sunset. Service was very friendly, and the dinner was excellent. I had one of the better pizzas I've tried around the lake.

The parking is about 300m from the hotel, which is the one thing to keep in mind. It didn't bother me, though it might bother someone else. The location, staff, and breakfast all get 5 stars from me. This place deserves a much higher rating!
