We stayed three nights and the customer service was awful. The food and drinks cost far more than at nearby properties, and breakfast had very little choice. The attitude from the staff was appalling, and we felt like a nuisance instead of paying customers. We never got an apology. After we returned home and escalated the issues, they continued to deny any fault. I’d never recommend this property. Our room was meant to be ready by 2pm when we arrived, but it wasn’t ready until 4pm. My husband saw that the rooftop jacuzzi water was green. We visited in the height of summer, in late June, and it looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned. They then shut the jacuzzi, an amenity they offer. The rooftop area also closed at 2pm one day, very early, without notice or any reason we knew of. On the second day, our air conditioning stopped working. We reported it straight away, and the receptionist confirmed the problem after checking it. They said they couldn’t arrange a repair because it was Sunday and no one was available. It was 33 degrees, but they offered no other solution. We were told the issue had been passed to the manager and the colleague on call the next day. When we asked the receptionist for compensation the following day because of the multiple problems, she said we were lying about the AC, even though her colleague had taken photos and apparently reported it. We were told refunds are never given under any circumstances, whatever the issue.

The food at the restaurant of Albergo Giardinetto in Garda was amazing, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The sea-crusted sea bass was perfectly cooked and tasted so fresh, and the parfait was a lovely way to finish the meal. The staff were polite and knew the menu and wine pairings well, which added a lot to the experience. The setting was charming and relaxing, and the meal was memorable from beginning to end. We’ll definitely be back.

They refused to host our group of 8 by the lake, even though we wanted to eat, and did it very rudely. The response to my review showed exactly what I meant about the way they communicate. It proved my point. Horrible service, and I’d avoid this place.

We loved the room, which was clean and comfortable, with super comfortable beds. Opening the windows let us hear the festivities on the street below. The rooftop was something special, and the sunsets up there were spectacular. The lake views were to die for, too. It’s right in the middle of everything, but still feels intimate and luxurious. The amenities were fantastic, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was wonderful and included.

We stayed for one night and finished our week away on a perfect note. The hotel is beautiful and newly refurbished. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and sunset on the roof, then went out to explore and find somewhere for dinner. After walking around town three times, we realised the hotel had the best restaurant. We had the best dinner of our holiday, after visiting venuce and verona first. A special thanks to the two lovely ladies at reception and the bar, and to the delightful cleaning lady who had us giggling. Couldn’t recommend the place more.
