We loved the limonaia tour included with our stay. Merlin led it with so much knowledge and enthusiasm, and even gave the tour in both German and English for the different guests. Valerio, Irene and the rest of the team were welcoming and helped us with questions and transfer arrangements. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotless, with a little balcony overlooking the lake. We could happily spend hours watching boats and swimmers go by. The bathroom had everything we needed. The hotel itself feels cosy and thoughtfully decorated in a traditional style, and the lake views and direct swimming access make the setting hard to beat. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and we enjoyed dinner there one evening too. From the moment we arrived at Hotel du Lac, we were already talking about coming back. We had a wonderful stay and are planning to return next year. Thanks to Valerio and the team!

The area has plenty to do, though some days you just want to stretch out on a sunbed with a book, or three. We stayed around four days and loved it. The hotel is really great and the staff are so nice. Compliments to the chef, though a child-friendly option on the menu would be useful. All in all, 5+ stars.

Right on the lake with glorious views, this little hotel has such an intimate feel. One to keep as our secret. Thanks to Valerio and the whole team.

We ended up trying Hotel Du Lac because our first-choice restaurant was fully booked, and what a pleasant surprise. The food was superb, with a beautiful lake view from our table. The evening did have one problem: flying ants covered the table as time went on, so I had to move to finish my dinner. Still, a hidden gem apart from that.

The antique, retro furnishings feel authentic, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great too, especially the rainfall-style shower. Breakfast was excellent, and the setting and views are beautiful. Absolutely superb hotel, I couldn't fault it.
