Hotel Lido

The room's window view makes up for a lot, and the lake and beach are lovely. The hotel itself is old, with a poor shower and disappointing breakfast. The women at reception were very friendly and helpful, though; I don't understand the complaints about them. One of the receptionists speaks English, German, and French.

I arrived at 22:30, even though check-in ends at 21:00, because of some special circumstances. The staff still welcomed me warmly. My room looked out over Lake Garda, breakfast was very good, and there was plenty of parking. I'd stay here again if I get the chance.

On our cycle tour around Lake Garda, my husband and I stayed here. It could use some TLC, but it was clean and had what we needed. Breakfast was great, the service was good, and it was excellent value.

We'd told them we were coming and asked for a heated room, but ours was freezing because the heating didn't work. After a full day of travel, we then found there was no water at all, hot or cold, so we couldn't even use the toilet. Staff said they knew and couldn't do anything, but nobody told us at check-in that we might need to find somewhere else. The room felt old-fashioned, the curtains were dirty, and although they changed the bed linen every day, they didn't wash the floor. I recorded a video, but can't upload it here.
