Hotel Astoria

We liked the themed evenings, and the hotel is a handy choice for families, close to Gatteo's nightlife. Our stay was in the secondary building, which has extra rooms and a small play area with a bounce house and playhouse. We came the week after August 15th with our two girls, aged 19 months and 5 years. This was our second visit in four years. One thing that hasn't changed is how kind and available owner Matteo is. The hotel is very clean and competitively priced, and the girls serving meals were always helpful. The food is still exceptional and varied, though there was less choice than on our previous visit. The manager was the one letdown, as he seemed to struggle to smile. Reception could perhaps use more training too, since Matteo had to step in several times. He can't be everywhere at once, but he's truly the property's jewel. The main building is where meals are served. The older guests may mean there isn't much special entertainment, but the themed nights were perfectly enjoyable. We'll definitely return.

The food was divine during my 9-day stay, with lots of variety, at least 3 options per course, and always a fish dish. The hotel is in a central spot, two steps from the square and just two minutes from the sea. Everything was perfect, and the value for money really is excellent. I recommend it, and we'll definitely be back! 😍

The family who run this lovely hotel deserve a lot of credit, as do the young staff, who were super friendly. We had a wonderful holiday with our 4-month-old baby and her grandparents. The location is ideal, near both the city center and the beaches, and the price was excellent for what we got. There was a wide range of meat and fish, including delicious Emilian specialties. Highly recommended.

Gatteo is a fabulous place to holiday, and this year's sea really impressed us. We've stayed here twice now and loved both visits. The staff are fantastic, the food is delicious, and the rooms are always clean. Thanks for everything, I'd highly recommend it.
