Gavirate is small, though it has large supermarkets and a stylish, pleasant cocktail bar. After more than a month at Ca’ del Re Scartozz, I'd say it's probably the best base for traveling and hiking among northern Italy's beautiful lakes, from Lago Maggiore to Lago di Como. Coming back to a renovated building and secure parking was a real plus. The apartments are warm, comfortable, clean, and fully equipped for short or long stays. Gates and doors are easy to operate with a Bluetooth app. Small household problems can come up now and then, but manager Tiziana deals with them quickly, professionally, and courteously. The internet slows when it rains, though it's still perfectly usable. Many thanks, and best of luck to Tiziana!!!

Our family had a wonderful time in the Riva dei Bruti apartment at Ca del Re Scartozz. It was warm, comfortable, and well maintained, a lovely place to relax. The host communicated promptly and smoothly throughout. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful, welcoming stay near Lago Maggiore.

The bed was extremely comfortable, and we enjoyed the mountain views. The apartment was modern and had everything we needed. A complimentary bottle of wine and local sweets were a lovely welcome touch. Highly recommended.

We spent four days at the Cà del Re apartments for a rowing competition. The property was new, clean, and worked efficiently. Being able to unlock the doors through an app instead of carrying keys was a great idea, and it meant check-in could happen at any time. Highly recommended!

A comfortable stay was easy here, with everything we needed and then some, including a coffee machine and kettle. Recommended.
