Breakfast was lovely, and the rooms were nice too. It’s a welcoming family-run place, tucked into quiet countryside, and a good spot to rest.

The traditional food was just as good when I came back for a special lunch with my family as it had been at dinner. Everything was very well prepared. It was packed, yet the staff stayed helpful and kind, and service was impeccable. I’ve only tried the restaurant, and would recommend it.

We’d arrived early for the freshwater fish dinner, so the waitresses seated us downstairs and brought a bowl of cracklings to enjoy with our aperitif. We really appreciated that. When it was time to move upstairs, one of them offered to take the person in our group who couldn’t manage the stairs to the elevator. The kindness carried on through the end of the meal. The food was excellent, and the service attentive. Such a lovely discovery. We’ll return.

The Wi-Fi was a bit weak, though it did make it easier to switch off. The rooms are spacious and equipped well, with comfy beds, and the place itself is ideal for relaxing. Breakfast was generous, especially the excellent homemade cakes. We also loved the restaurant meal: for €35, we had a set menu with a starter, four kinds of risotto, and a dessert we chose. A little slice of paradise, highly recommended.
