The beach is only a few hundred meters away, and the apartment is right in central Gela. The streets are very narrow, so I’d suggest leaving the car at the post office directly beneath the building.

The accommodation is clean and roomy, with a great rooftop terrace. The beach is quite nice and about a 15-minute walk away. The owner was a good guy and extremely helpful. If you don’t have a car and want to take day trips, you’ll need taxis, which he arranged for me. At €10 each way, though, that gets expensive.

Waking up to the sea view was amazing. The rooms were nice and tidy, and the woman who greeted us was so enthusiastic that we felt warmly welcomed.
