Everything else was perfect. The room was just a little small.

The older part of Genova is a cute area to stay in. Our room was clean, and it was cleaned again during our two-night visit. The staff were friendly and nice. I’d visit again.

The staff were polite and spoke English, but the hotel itself is very basic, small, and offers little service. Breakfast was just simple cups and a small cake, so we had to go out and walk around for drinks and food. We couldn’t find a parking space nearby. We drove to the aquarium parking lot, paid a fee to Nigerian people to watch the car, and then paid for parking as well. Some lovely Italian people helped us find the hotel, though that wasn’t hotel service. The location is close to the center.

The hotel is in the center and easy to get to, and there’s free air-conditioning in the room. The bathroom was clean. But the room was small and dark, and the staff didn’t speak English. They didn’t even know numbers in English. We had payment trouble, and the concierge only spoke Italian, which was crazy. If you eat gluten-free, don’t expect more than yogurt, some fruit, and cornflakes.
