Hotel Astoria

An impressive historic palace right in the heart of Genova. The hotel is close to the railway station, SIXT rental car, and city center. The rooms are lovely, breakfast is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. I’ll be back!

The staff at Hotel Astoria made us feel welcome right away. They were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout, and our room was modern, comfortable, and very well kept. Our four-legged companion was welcomed warmly too. Getting there by car was easy: there’s a parking garage nearby, and you can pull up in front of the hotel to check in and out. We felt completely at home and highly recommend the hotel and its team. We’d be delighted to return.

We slept really well during our five nights at the end of June 2025, and only occasionally heard other guests, nothing disturbing. The hotel is five minutes from the station, which made it easy to visit three other beautiful places. Shops, cafes, and restaurants are close by, and the port is about a 20-minute walk. Our room was lovely, with a huge comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The air conditioning worked very well, and I was able to ask for a kettle set. There were no drawers or full-length mirror, but that was a minor thing and we managed. The free minibar was restocked every day with water, soft drinks, and snacks. The staff were friendly and helpful. Alessio at reception happily recommended beaches and places to eat, and another receptionist helped me find English Breakfast tea bags. I had a great five-night stay with my daughter and would happily stay again. I’d recommend it if you’re travelling to Genova.

The room we had was huge and stunning, and the whole stay was wonderful. It’s a well-run hotel, with friendly staff who make you feel at home. I’d love to come back.
